The Smartcard Forum International (SFI) is a non-profit, consumer-focused association established with the mission of promoting, defending and advancing the smartcards

Mission The mission of the SFI is to promote and defend the smartcard ecosystem. SFI works to unite industry stakeholders to demonstrate the value of smartcard technologies in secure payments, digital identity, public transportation, telecom, health and access control by creating awareness among the public (real end-user) and public authorities.
Objectives SFI pursues its mission through Awareness, Regulatory Engagement, Neutral Industry Platform, Knowledge creation and sharing, Capacity building, Sustainability and Innovation.
Organizational structure SFI is governed through a structured, transparent model that balances strategic oversight with operational efficiency.
